Affordable Health Insurance in Missouri
Purchasing health insurance as an individual can be a daunting task – especially if you try to do it alone. Whether you recently lost coverage through an employer or simply want to explore your healthcare options, sifting through Missouri health plans can be an intimidating process. When you work with an independent agent, you still get the same great health care options and premiums with the assistance of a helpful advocate who can help you determine which plan is right for you.
Making Health Insurance Simple
We make understanding health insurance as easy as possible. We can break down the lingo into simple terms, explaining the differences in deductibles, coinsurance, premiums, and copayments. We can also explain the benefits of enrolling in various types of plans, such as high-deductible plans that qualify you for a tax-free health savings account.
Health Insurance is Now Required by Law
If you do not have health insurance, now is the time to purchase it. Federal law requires that everyone carry some form of approved health coverage to avoid paying a tax penalty. Since our job at Tagge Insurance is to help you save money, we will go out of our way to ensure you find an affordable policy that will put more money back in your pocket. You may even qualify for a tax credit to help offset the cost of coverage.
Health Insurance Open Enrollment
Although open enrollment occurs at the beginning of each calendar year, you may be able to purchase health insurance at other times throughout the year if you experience a qualifying event. Examples include the birth of a child, celebrating a 26th birthday, getting married, getting a divorce, or losing coverage through your job.

Medicare Open Enrollment Begins October 15th! If you are 65-years old or older and are on Medicare, you probably already know it’s the time of the year where you can change your Medicare insurance program.
Between October 15th and December 7th, you can choose between a traditional Medicare supplement insurance policy, or opt for a Medicare Advantage program. It is also them time in which you can elect to participate, or not participate in Medicare’s prescription drug program.
