Ron Tagge is the owner and president at Ron Tagge Insurance in Springfield.
Ron grew up in Pulaski County Missouri, the son of immigrant parents. His Dad was a Silver Star decorated American WWII veteran, and his Mother worked three jobs to support her five children after she lost her husband at an early age. After graduation from Waynesville High School, Ron attended Southwest Missouri State University (now Missouri State) where he studied chemistry. Ron eventually found his calling in the sales and customer service field, being recruited by a major insurance company to represent their brand.
Over the years, the work ethic provided by his heritage along with Ron’s personal concern and service to his customers allowed him to grow a successful agency. Ron started his career with a two-drawer file cabinet and a pair of shoes. With hard work and compassion, he is now a trusted advisor and a friend to hundreds of clients.
Ron has earned a number of insurance credentials including his RHU (Registered Health Underwriter,) REBC (Registered Employee Benefits Consultant,) LUTCF (Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow,) and his CIC (Certified Insurance Counselor) designation.
Outside of work Ron is a bit adventurous. Growing up he often heard his mother calling him by his middle name. He rides a unicycle, has taken a small watercraft over 1,000 miles down the Missouri and Mississippi rivers, picked up a live rattlesnake, and has traveled to over 12 countries.
Ron currently lives in Springfield and is the father of two. A son, and a daughter that is currently attending the University of Vermont. They also have a cat that goes by the name of Oliver.
